I got up, looked out the window and saw solid cloud. “This wasn’t going to be my day” I thought. Early on I was convinced I wasn’t in with a chance of seeing anything. But, thanks to my journalistic training, I got everything ready and sat it out with my camera pointing at the sky. I had maybe 3 or 4 fleeting moments where the eclipse became visible.
So, here you go, the solar eclipse from Chesterfield, UK.
